Under the patronage of President Bashar al-Assad, vice-President Najah al-Attar inaugurated on Wednesday the 29th edition of international Book Fair at al-Assad National Library in Damascus.
Al-Attar said in a press statement that Syria is close to the full victory over terrorism, adding that one of the good examples for this victory is opening the book fair today.
She affirmed that today’s event is a proof that “our punishing houses issue the best books and the truest ones which are capable for teaching the citizens and educating the youths.
150 publishing houses from Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi-Arabia, Palatine, Jordan, Iran, Denmark and Russia are taking part in the 10-day fair.
A number of Ministers, al-Baath Party members and many ambassadors attended the inauguration ceremony.
