Syria’s permanent representative to the UN, Bashar al-Jaafari, said on Tuesday that Damascus International Fair is Syria’s message to the whole world that the country has recovered and normal life returned the homeland.

Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Mohammad Samer al-Khalil said that the number of visitors to Damascus International Fair exceeded expectations, and that the Fair is bustling with activity.
Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban affirmed that the re-launch of Damascus International Fair at this time and with this high local and international turnout is very symbolic and sends a message that the war in Syria is going to an end and that terrorism will be totally eliminated and that “we are at the beginning of the road towards reconstruction.”
