The Syrian-Russian Businessmen Forum started activities on Monday at the headquarters of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moscow with the participation of 281 Russian businessmen and 120 Syrian businessmen along with representatives of several Syrian governmental bodies concerned in the economic issues.
In a speech during the opening of the Forum, Chairman of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin said “We want to go forwards in our cooperation with the Syrian side after the achievements which have been realized thanks to the victories over terrorism on the Syrian land, and we work on establishing the strongest relations with our Syrian partners.”
Katyrin added that the forum focuses on the capabilities and the prospects in the domain of the joint cooperation, indicating that businessmen from different Russian areas are participating in the forum.
For his part, Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Dr. Riyad Haddad said that businessmen from Syria and those who reside in Russia are participating in the forum which seeks to enhance the bilateral cooperation to move to the stage of reconstruction.
Ambassador Haddad affirmed that the Syrian Embassy in Moscow provides all facilitations to the Russian businessmen who are willing to work in Syria.
The Forum is organized by the Syrian-Russian Businessmen Council and it is held under the auspices of the Russian Government.
