Prime Minister Imad Khamis discussed with the Advisor to the First Vice President of Iran, head of the Committee for Development of Iranian-Syrian Economic Relations Saeed Ohadi and an accompanying delegation the economic relations between the two countries and means to enhance them.

During the meeting, Premier Khamis expressed Syria’s appreciation to the Iranian stances towards Syria in light of the terrorist war waged on the country and the unilateral coercive economic measures against the Syrian people.

He expressed Syrian government’s desire to strengthen the economic relations with Iran through the establishment of companies and factories and increasing the trade exchange.

For his part, Ohadi noted that the aim of the visit is to enhance the economic relations between Iran and Syria and to overcome obstacles in order to implement the signed agreements between the two countries in various service and economic fields.

Following the meeting, the Syrian-Iranian technical committees held a meeting during which they discussed ways to complete the implementation of previous contracts signed between the two countries and agreed to consolidate “the principle of companies” in terms of investment partnership between the two countries.
